Snyder Cemetery

We heard about this cemetery from various websites. It's the famous Burton Rd. Cemetery, although it isn't a road, it's a drive, which can really throw you off when looking for directions. We will be returning to this cemetery on occasion so be sure to check back for updates.

Yet again we returned to Snyder. It was a fairly uneventful evening. We did get a few interesting pictures. Video and EVRs haven't been completely reviewed yet. I will update this section if we come up with anything worth posting. We had two guests with us. Big Stew from BCGH, and Nichole a friend of one of our members.

We returned to the cemetery, but it was cold out so we didn't stay long at all. When we first arrived, Wendy put on a spiderman mask to give us a giggle, which worked. We also think it may have upset someone or something because of how one of the pictures came out. We see a face to the left of Wendy's head. It also looks as though her leg was outstreched at one point, but she was paused in that position for the picture. We are not sure what the blue haze is on and around her.

Wendy and Wayne went back to snyder on November 4th to do their own personal ghost hunt. What they experienced was far creepier than anything we've experienced at Snyder yet. Something actually grabbed Wendy's hand, then proceeded to hang onto her leg. She managed to snap a picture in all the excitement and got this....

Of course they had to go back.... LOL This was taken the next night. They don't smoke, and you couldn't see your breath either night they were there.

We returned to Snyder on the 24th. We got some unsettled feelings, but didn't experience anything paranormal that we were aware of. If the pictures below seem like duplicates, they aren't. I posted them so you can see the differences in sequence.

Niki was picking up some strange lights above the two main headstones. The video was to dark to get it all onto the computer, so you only pick up a small light that looks like a reflection towards the top left corner. Next to the reflection (in the orginal video) you can see a small light resting above the stone, it hovers for awhile, then slowly fades back out, and you can see some form of movement around the stone. We also picked up a low pitched hum (moan?) off and on throughout this video.

GLOW and MOAN

In the first visit to Snyder we picked up what to us sounds like a lightbulb exploding right after someone comments on how bright the cemetery is lit up. This time I comment on it getting brighter out, and you hear a loud snap. Normally we state aloud when we cause a strange noise, and no one even commented on it.

I'm not sure what this is, but it happened three times on my video tape in different areas, two times I noticed it while filming and there was nothing causing the flash that I could see with the naked eye. There were lightening bugs out, but they didn't flash in this manner, plus I would have been able to see a lightening bug.

This is hardly worth posting because it's hard to see on the computer, but being this was Niki's first hunt and she recorded this, I had to post it for her. I have to admit, she does a far better job with the video camara than I do! Watch the center of the screen, (not the bugs flying past) you'll see a small low glowing orb come out of the stone and into the ground. Turn up the contrast to see it better.

Turning up the contrast in Windows Media Player will help you see the videos much better.

We were starting to feel a bit uneasy, then noises started in the woods, like something falling from the trees. I was video taping, when I heard something behind me in the woods, I turned around quickly to film behind me. Wendy was standing off to my right side. I saw what to me looked like smoke in the lcd screen, and asked Wendy if she was smoking. She said she wasn't. I even let out a deep breath to see if I was the cause of it. There was no fog in the area, we didn't get any in the pictures we took or on any of the other video. We were going to leave, so I put my video camera away. Wayne contiued to video tape and we hung out awhile longer. That's when we got the loud pop sound. (in an evp on the evp page)

While we were at the cemetery, a car passed us, then came back to see what we were up to. There were 3 young people (a guy and two girls) worried that we might be up to no good. They stayed awhile, and we chatted while one of the video recorders were still running. As I was telling the story about the apparition I saw at Mansfield, you hear what sounds like a male voice say something as though he were singing it. Then you here one or both of the girls say "that is so weird" and it sounds like it's said in harmony. It just doesn't fit if you ask me. The voices sound strange.

Strange Voices

We were very close to leaving, and feeling very uneasy because we kept hearing noises in the woods, and I got a strange fog on my video camera that you couldn't see with the naked eye or in any of the pictures we took. We felt very uneasy. We were standing fairly close to one another, when all of a sudden you hear a loud sound, like a pop. It startled me, and you hear me ask "what was that?", right before Wendy asks it. To us it sounds like a lightbulb exploding, and it's right after Wendy says "That's pretty neat, how it's lit up in there". It seemed as though just inside the stone walls of the cememtery it was very lit up from the moon. The sound was between Wendy and Wayne. We searched like crazy, but couldn't find a source of the noise.
